I tried adding my recent photo RSS feed to google buzz and it didn't pick it up...does anyone know what google buzz is looking for in the feed entry? thanks

People have tried and failed to get Google to recognize/accept feeds from SmugMug embedded in their Google Accounts. I suspect the same problem would apply to Google Buzz...

Sorry, I can't even access 'Buzz' :(

Message from Google, 'We're still rolling out Buzz to everyone, so if you don't see it in your Gmail account yet, check back soon.'

See this post http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=128299

Issue with RSS feeds and Profiles has been around since Profiles came out, SM says their RSS is correct... which it probably is..but why they can't contact Google and see why it's not working is annoying.

The only workaround is to use Picasa or Flickr RSS feeds

Hmm... I just went to http://www.google.com/buzz, saw that message, then went ahead and clicked the button Try Buzz in Gmail anyway. It's still there, even if I log out of gmail and back in.

What Buzz does is create a Google Profile page for you (unless you already had one setup, which I did). Your buzz public posts show up on that profiles page.

Here is my profile page

http://profiles.google.com/randypollock

As I stated in my post earlier SM RSS feeds do not work for displaying images on that Profiles page.

Yeah that button really does nothing until Google flips the switch on your gmail account.

I watched the Press conference and buzz does look nice and it will replace my Friendfeed account and aggregate my twitter and some of Google reader feeds

Maybe they could compare the feeds coming out of flickr and picassa to their own and figure out what is wrong. Comparing flickr and smugmug quickly they look fairly similar, but maybe Google doesn't recognized the media:groups for more than one media:content? Perhaps it just expects one image file per item? Other than that I can't see anything that would be likely to have it fail. Maybe I'll look into it more this weekend.

I was able to get my feed into Google Buzz but it was not straightforward at all. The issue is that Google requires you to have "ownership" of the feed before you can add it to Buzz. You need to either have a Power account and be able to add custom html or use your Bio box add add it there (have not tried that one but think it would work). Here is what I did:
1. In the Head Tag in the Advanced Site-Wide Customization, add the following line: <link rel="me" type="text/html" href="http://www.google.com/profiles/<YOURPROFILE>"/>
2. Add the link to your Google Profile and check "This is a profile page about me."
3. Go to the Google Social Graph recrawl tool https://sgapi-recrawl.appspot.com/ (it appears to be unavailable right now, probably exceeded its allocation)
4. Then you should be able to add it to your Buzz connected sites

thanks, this worked.
doesn't seem to be working for me.

Added and re-crawled...still seeing
"Photo feed error -- please check your photo source URL."

removed photos, re-added...now seeing No photos in feed -- please check your photo source URL.
