    Hey there. Looks like you should wait a little while longer before snapping the shutter. You generally won't capture color in the sky until the sun is almost below the horizon (actually, the best color is often just afer the sun has gone below the horizon). The other issue here is that the sun is just way overexposed. This is also part of why you're not seeing any color in the photo.

    I'd say the same thing on your "Carlsbad Sunset".

    You've got a pleasing composition. Keep shooting and keep asking questions!

    I'd have to agree with Phil. The sun is overexposed and i would like to see more colors. Do you have any photos taken like 15-30 minutes later? Please post them if you do.
