Everyone has such beautiful National Park landscapes. My favorite subjects to shoot are children and I frequently take them to the park, so I can throw some of those in.
I really like the second one (little girl walking away on the playscape).

Dave, that last one from Acadia looks like a raging game of paint ball had just finished. The moss/lichen colors on the rocks are wild.

met - Great shots of the kids! Kids and parks just go together, so these are perfect entries for this theme, IMO.

dlscott - Nice selection. Did you shoot #2 during the Shootout? I didn't go on the hike to the streams/falls so I missed out. I really like this one of yours!

I went a little crazy with the saturation there. My wife says waaaay too much. But I liked the colors so left this version of the shot that way.

I love the amazing beauty of so many of these parks from around the world. Really stunning.
I really love this one, though. It really captures the essence of a park in my mind. Probably because of deeply rooted childhood memories of dealing with the pine needles in the potato salad. mwink.gif

Thanks, Andrew! This is one of my favorites.

The 10mm coverage comes in handy for this location. The incense smoke also helps. BTW, still don't see any of your images.

    Prater
The first two pictures feature the "Riesenrad" in the Prater Amusement Park in Vienna, Austria. Built in 1897, it had 30 cabins rising to a height of 65 m. Is was burned in bombing fires in 1944, rebuilt and went into operation in 1947 with half the cabins. In the mean time, a modern amusement park with the usual stomach-turning rides has been built around it.

    #2 Curves

The third picture is also from the Prater. The last wooden slide in operation in an amusement park worldwide (as far as known). It was built in 1913, rebuilt in 1947, closed for safety reasons in 2000, and just re-opened (after extensive refurbishing) in 2009.

Jerry - Nice shots! I like the first one best, good colors and lines. Thanks for sharing the story about the Vienna park too; it was quite interesting.

    So many good shots here!
