Okay so I rented a 24-70 L 2.8 and a few more 580's and figured i would get to know them a little better.

It also gave me a chance to work on composition a little bit as well.

C&C very much appreciated

Um, I think you posted this in the wrong catagory. The bear is clearly naked!

Only bad I see is the flash shadow in the first two shots.
    Not bad!

The camera angle of the 3rd KILLS the 2 preceding it. This angle makes for a better comp IMO. You missed a little on the HK bg, but that can be fixed. Nice modeling on the sub but I wouldn't have combine this sub with that bg. I would've tried for a bg that was closer in tone (yellow, red or a contrasty blue...) ne_nau.gif

The Bear is not BARE!! He has on a BOWTIE!! wings.gif

Bugs, Thanks, I still need to invest in more BG material. I do think that the Pink/White is better than the Purple I had up before

You can be the Judge of that. I wanted to get a "feel" of this lens and work with the Speedlights using ETTL and the communications. I think it all came out fairly well.

When(and if) I can get D back in the "studio" then I'll have some GF shots for ya deal.gif

OK, but imagine the pink/white table cloth removed and that deeper-toned BG sweeping all the way through the picture. IMO, this subject would stand out mucho, being the brightest aspect of the pic. I also feel that the HK approach doesn't serve Booboo any justice.... You know, just sayin' ne_nau.gif
