    Your succinct comments made me smile. Somehow it brought to mind the whole concept of letting a picture speak for itself. Why use lots of words when one will do? Especially when it leaves a bit of ambiguity. (Sorry if this doesn't make sense. Had a long hard day yesterday and am still recovering.)

    This photo is part of an ongoing project to capture the relationship between child and grandparent. I have BD to thank for an evolution in the framing of my shots. Some of my best photographs in this series are ones taken since he joined the forum. The early exercises he challenged us with, his own work, and a one-week course with him last August helped me learn to cope with and embrace the challenges of the difficult shooting conditions under which the series is being shot.
