I just upgraded my display to a Wacom Cintiq 21. My main reason for doing the upgrade was for the creating the video based courses I write as part of my "real" job... I do lot's of diagrams and animations and this is going to make things a lot easier.

I don't have the critical eye for color that most of you do but that when I opened some of my images I was blown away by how much better the color was than on my old LCD display.

In talking to Wacom tech support I found out that the panel is S-IPS, which I guess explains why the colors are so good.

I had some weird issues with the install because of some weird things about my system, it's a custom built one. The Wacom tech support was very good and helpful.

I moved this to the Digital Darkroom Gear forum, where we discuss computers and monitors and other stuff not directly camera or camera accessory related.

Good luck with the new monitor.

I really like my Cintiq tablet. I do make sure to calibrate it weekly along with my other monitor.
