Dedicated Slideshow Software Recommendations?

Hi all,
Please feel to redirect me if this is topic has been recently discussed. I'm looking for slideshow software that will allow me to burn to cd/dvd, and output for email/web. I've been using this review site, and it looks like Xtreme Photostory on CD & DVD Deluxe is winning the race. I've browsed around and haven't seen anything else that looks worthwhile.
I'm an enthusiastic slideshow maker, and this is for fun so cost is a consideration. Looking for something with a good balance of flexibility, ease of use and value.
Any suggestions? The Xtreme software is on sale through this weekend. Trying to find something to compare before the final decision needs to be made.
