Brunkild Sunset

It was very windy (and, by extension, very cold) today out there in the countryside. Still, a couple local photogs and I hopped on a car, drove out of the city, and managed to shoot some pictures. Here's my favourite from the excursion, taken in the small town of Brunkild, Manitoba.

One day I may clone those hydro lines out.

Thanks for looking...

Fine composition. The snowdrifts lead my eye towards the house. Nice job! thumb.gif

Thank you, Steve. Placing the subject right in the middle of the frame is not a popular decision in this rule-of-thirds-dominated world. Glad that you don't mind something a little subversive :)

Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

Nicely done. The composition is pleasing with, as was mentioned, the eye being nicely led up to the house. I really like the colors as well. The B&W lover in me wonders if a monochrome version would also be a winner. :D

Thank you, Mahesh, CSwinton, and Aaron!

@CSwinton: I've been doing a lot of B&W conversions lately, but colour is such an important part of this one that it never crossed my mind to convert it. It's a good idea though, and I may try it :)
