Some help with this shot?

I want to call this shot "King of the Mountain". However I'm having some issues editing it. Do you think this is because I'm trying to create something out of nothing? Or is there something I can do to make this look better?

Truthfully Yes.

The Background just to busy and takes everything away from the birdies.
You could try crop and then blur and then increase contrast around birdies but
I think it would be more fun just to go shooting again

Anytime you have to ask the question it usually means that its just not worth the effort.

Your concept is great but this image won't bring it about.

You might try a heavy crop of just the area around the cormorants and then blurring the background but the end result would probably be mediocre.

I like the second one. It has some interesting and contrasting elements that can get one's imagination going.
