Northern face of the snowcapped San Bernardino Mountain range (SoCal).

All of the snow in this shot, when melted, will never reach the ocean. It all flows inland toward Death Valley (but it'll probably never reach there either).
Anybody can do it.

Thanks Mehesh. Specs call for snowcapped watershed, approximately 20,000 years ago. That implies no marks of man. I had to find the right place to hide the 30-40 thousand modern day hunter-gatherers that live below and in between. I think if I crop off the downslope on the left it'll tighten things up a bit.

On the winter days, the air in the high desert is so awesome, actually sweet. The water, incomparable (at least in the district where I live).

I don't know about your suggested crop, Walter...I think the images is composed pretty nicely the way it is. If anything, I may make it into a pano format and get rid of some of the sky.

I may. I'm using this in a PP presentation where I have some latitude, but would like to be able to make standard size prints available through SmugMug if someone wants one.
