Thumbs up.... Maybe I'm just overlooking it.

Ok... here's my scenario:

The family gallery on my site is separated from the business side of my site. Only family members with passwords can access this part. Since there are so many pictures, I only upload photos sized to print good 4x6 (just about the only thing printed) to cut down on upload times. An idea I had was to get family members to click the thumbs up if it was a picture they feel like deserves a print larger than 4x6. This way I know what their tastes are plus I would then upload the full-rez file to the site.

Now for the life on me, I cannot see where you could tell if someone actually clicked a thumbs up. I know that it is linked to the popular photos, but is there a place to see if a photo has been "voted" on or how many times?

Thanks in advance. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm all ears.

I'm not aware of any way to expose the number of times a thumbs up has been applied to a photo. Also don't know any way to tell who clicked the thumbs up - and given that viewers don't need to be logged on anywhere, I'm not sure how that could be captured anyway.

You're right that a thumbs up on a photo will add it to your popular photos.

thumbs up/popular photos don't work with password protected gallery at all. I also want something like you mention for the exact same purpose!
