Uploader Performance Benchmarks?

Has anyone ran any kind of performance benchmarks for the various upload alternatives?

Right now, I'm trying to decide between the regular SmugMug uploader, the Lightroom plugin, or Star*Explorer. Upload 100 images with each, see how long each takes...

I appreciate how difficult it is to construct a valid benchmarking process but any hard data would be appreciated.

    In my experience, the Simple uploader is fastest. Star Explorer is fast, and awesome with multi gallery, stop/start ability, and more. Lightroom plugin, for me, is the slower of the three but very convenient and I use it plenty.

    When I upload large amounts, I use the Simple Uploader, and drag my files right from Bridge.

    Would it be fair to say the optimal use cases are...

    1 In a hurry, on a reliable connection --> Simple
    2 Need robustness/flexibility on a sketchy connection --> Star*Explorer
    3 Editing in Lightroom, few photos, too lazy to launch :) --> Lightroom plugin
