This is a beautiful result Mary Kim. The composition placement is
wonderful and I take delight in your processing choices for this
image. I'm a big fan for things in higher key and your subject is
    perfect for it. :D Michael

    Thank you DaddyO :D

I was concerned about the placement of the long cattle pen, but I wanted to show it all off in the photo.

Wanted to make it brigher to emphasis the coldness, but decided against it. Might need a tad more lighting tho headscratch.gif

Very appealing, Mary. The highkey interpretation is very successful, you needn't have any misgivings there. This is certainly an example of when going someway towards an extreme gets closer to the essence. However, I am not entirely convinced about the line of brown color.

    Hi Neil --

Thank you Neil for your nice comments :D

As for that brown line of color -- hmmmmm. That's a hard one for me since it's something you find a lot here. It's the top of a small hill or an uprise in the ground that ran in front. Anything that sits on top or on an edge like that won't get much snow cover and becomes pretty dominate on the landscape. I can remove some of it's color tho.

What I find amazing is in town we can be buried under snow, but out in the country it's not as deep. Gets blown around pretty good.

This is nice. I like how all the lines tend to draw you into the photo.
