I ordered my first big strobe kit.

Anyone else here using Bowens? They are from the UK. \

My wife surprised me with this a few weeks ago

I took a class on off camera lighting and the Pro beat it into our heads that we need to get a light meter before we spend money on anything else. I told my wife about it afterwards and she contacted the Pro and found out which one he uses and she got me one. I'm setup now to start doing portrait photography. I got hired last week to shoot the upcoming prom here where I live. A few days later one of the moms who has bought many MX photos of her son from me asked if I would shoot his Senior pics in the spring. So, it looks like I'm about to broaden my photography quite a bit. I can't wait to start playing with this stuff!

Congrats! If you use PW's, some of the Sekonics can be fitted with a PW trigger. Makes set up a real easy thing to do.

    Congrats on the come up!

If you don't mind me asking, but how much did you pay for the kit? I can't find the kit anywhere online..

Yup it's got wireless triggering. I haven't started reading the manual yet.

Thanks. The only place in the U.S that I found it was at B&H. They don't stock it though. So I won't get it for a few weeks. I paid $1,822 plus $55 for shipping. I'll get the battery pack and wireless triggers for it in a bit.
