Where can one get a mug of SmugMug's? I'd love to have one at work. I found out about it here: http://www.shawnaseto.com/popular/#65072383_dnQFN (so, thanks Shawna for a great photo).

Thanks

I believe that the official SmugMug novelty merchandise vendor is Zazzle, but the only mug item that they seem to stock is several mugs with the plain SmugMug logo:

For that particular phrase, you can order mugs from Baldy (Chris MacAskill) here:

    Large mug:

    Small mug:

Check out the other images and phrases at his galleries while you're there.

nice find Ziggy! however, seems odd that a wrap around mug is looking for a regular crop. shame. I'd love to see it as displayed, but does not appear to be a choice. ne_nau.gif

I think that there are some items only available when you attend certain SmugMug sponsored events. Still, if you want a genuine SmugMug Mug, the links I supplied should get you something authentic.

well, he has those images set up as purchasable as mugs, just seems odd that it won't do wrap arounds.

You may have to scroll your computer screen either down or to the right to see the full image width preview. Alternately, choose the "slideshow" mode.

... Or do you mean a more realistic preview of how the graphic looks on the mug?

I mean that in checkout, the system is forcing a square crop on the very rectangular image. But as Andy indicated, apparently not *really* set up for sale. Too bad, I know a few photogs I'd love to gift those to.

Andy, Are you saying he can't purchase a mug from this gallery? http://cmac.smugmug.com/SmugMug/Marketing-shots/Final-art-for-large-mugs/549683_5eZux#22809138_HQzt3
This is where I bought the mug shown in my photo http://www.shawnaseto.com/popular/#65072383_dnQFN

I was able to still place one of the images in the cart and choose "mug" as a merchandise option. You just have to choose the "no crop" option to remove the square he was asking about so the image will wrap the mug. As Andy was saying you can make your own or order from the official smugmug merchandise but this also appears to still be an option if you like what Chris has already done.

If you mean the watermark that you have automatically applied by SmugMug to your smaller display images, I believe it is for the same reason that any prints would also not have a watermark. SmugMug does not watermark your original sized images, and those are the images used for printing, including novelty printing.

If you want the watermark to be embedded you just need to add the watermark yourself into your image prior to uploading the image to SmugMug.

Ziggy, I wanted to put the watermark by itself on a white mug, so I guess i need to save my watermark as a large enouf jpg file, and that should work.

    thanks

This seems like an old thread but I have similar request as time2smile. I have a vectorised logo (also doubles as a watermark) that i wish to offer customers to have printed on merchandise. This includes not only the mug but also thsirts and that iphone case. I dont want to upload a jpg of the logo since it will then be on a background. Logos are often stand alone with transparent backgrounds and would not want a big fat white square to be printed around the logo. Anyone have any ideas? Sent an email to EZ labs but unfourtunately no response from them ...

Are you asking for information on how to create an image from vector art that does not have a background?

Do you have the original vector art and vector based software, typically Illustrator or Corel Draw?
