Horesetail Falls from Northside Drive

Had a chance to get up to Yosemite for the day and try and capture the famous "Horsetail Falls" at sunset. There are several locations, but I think the most popular location is from the Northside Drive. I saw another photo from the same day from the other location, Southside Drive, and it looks like that location gave the signature firefall effect that evening. All and all I've very happy to at least capture it and met a bunch of new friends!

That's a great shot. I was wondering what it would look like from where you guys were. Now I know. I bet you guys had a whole bunch of photographers around you.

Let's plan to do it again next year- maybe Valentine's weekend? I think Feb 17- 20th are the best depending on the solstice.

Yeah, there were "a few" photographers there! I'm just glad I went up there early. I may try Southside next year or even stay for a few days. My kids wanted to go with me, but I told them it would be boring because I wanted to take pictures! My youngest daughter has a birthday next week, so I don't know if I can get up there again this year, but maybe taking the family next year.
