A Feast for One

Traveling through a small town I saw this bird eating off of a deer leg and the hides on the fence.

Colored version of bird eating off of the hide is here on my site.

I like this one a bit better than the one on your site. Nicely spotted. I also think the B&W conversion suits this scene very well.

    Hi --

I thought this photo was going to die a quick death with not a response of like nor dislike :D

BW is much better in my opinion too. Only in a small town would you see something like this down main street.

    Thanks for commenting :D

Agreed. BW for this one. Nice sense of chill in it and the sharpness. :D
Just found "16 Windows" in your pans art gal.
What a super nice piece of work that is. bowdown.gif

Glad you like the humor with "Rocky".
    :D Thanks for saying.

    Hi DaddyO...

I was hoping to bring the "chill" into this photo. Happy to see it worked.

Thank you for the nice comment on my "16 Windows" :D That was my first time trying it and I have to say..it was fun doing it.

Thanks for looking and your comments DaddyO :D

    Howdy Mary,

I have to say I like the color version better, it seems to fit your Title more.

I also like the crop on it, less tailgate of the truck, and it draws

your eye immediately to the hide and bird.

I wonder if the one you posted with a little tighter crop would bring

in what the bird is feasting on? I had originally thought it was a stick

or limb in the back of the truck.
    Take care,

Hi Mary K.........It must be pretty tough in that town.....I'm like Panther, maybe a little tighter crop would make it clearer what the bird was eating....At my place they will beat the dogs to the dog food if they can.......
    Neat capture...... azzaro

    Hi Craig -

You like the color one :D

Tighter crop would be better. It won't just look like a bird sitting on a pick-up. I cropped it further away to avoid the "gross out" effect...mostly mine rolleyes1.gif

Thanks for your comments Craig :D

    Hi Azzaro --

Your in agreement with Craig...crop it in tighter. I can see now that would be better :D

Totally surprised me that there weren't any dogs around chewing on that bone. Guess they couldn't get up into the pickup. Those bones are frozen in there really good...gonna smell some spring time eek7.gif

    Thank you Azzaro :D
