I quite like the second one. The colour, look on the horse's face, and the curly soaked coat just say it all.

In the first, although I realize you're probably shooting uphill, the crooked horizon is distracting.
Creating visual and verbal images that resonate with you.

Both are lovely images with good control of light and mood. I have trouble picking a favorite and the horizon line doesn't seem to bother so much in #1. Different strokes :D

    Beautiful photos :D

I agree....the soaked coat on the horse really shows how wet it is. I like the softness of both photos. As for the horizon in the first one...works for me. When there's a sloping hill it should stay a sloping hill in my opinion :D

I like the first one a lot. The fence creates some wierd lines, but it has a "classic" feel for me. Nice work.

I like them both. They're two wholly different scenes that bring very different emotions to the table. Well done on both counts.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

    Howdy Willard,

    Good to see you again

Really beautiful shots, really love them both for different reasons,

the second one with your processing really looks like a beautiful painting.

    Very nicely done.
    Take care,

    Thank you all for looking.

In No 1, the only reference that needs to be correct are the verticals and the verticals are correct. I like the diagonals and I use this fence/hill in lots of pictures.

No 2 was on a wet, sloppy winter day and we were all hatin' it. There's plenty of sheds and barns, but they stand in the open by preference.

Very nice photograph. Looks great in black & white. Nice soft sense of
    snowing calm. :D
