Shot my first pro basketball game yesterday. The pace was much faster than HS and college ball , so it took a bit of getting used to. The lighting was so much better than most places I have been to.

Excellent set of shots. They "sing" with the arena lighting.

Two Qs: Did you get a press pass to be able to shoot from the baseline? What's happening in #5, set 2, with the dunk? Looks like a halftime contest or exhibition.

Sweet photos!!! Lighting makes a ton of difference that is for sure. Not so lucky when it comes to HS BB games.

    I love #4 and #6.

Thanks, I did get a press pass to sit on the floor. It's the only way they let you do that. #5 was part of a little halftime show. They used trampolines to jump and dunk.

Thanks, I used my D3 with the 70-200mm f2.8 most of the time. You can see the data for each shot on my smugmug gallery.

The lighting is sooooo much better. Also, the athletics of these players makes it more exciting to shoot.

Very nice... Would be great to be able to get into the various places around here (I'm just outside of NYC) but I don't know anyone.

Hope you can get back and get some more shots like that. They're great.
