EXIF data missing in smaller files

I upload all my images with EXIF intact, but the file versions SmugMug creates for viewing, linking and sharing are all stripped, no EXIF in there. I would really like to keep the EXIF in my images so that my friends can see the shooting data when I post an image in a forum, and also so that the copyright info is still in there. Is there a setting that will keep the EXIF intact for all images? If not, what are the plans? I can't imagine I'm the only one who asks for this. Thanks!

Here is an example of an image from my gallery - no EXIF, even though the file uploaded contained EXIF (as I can see when clicking on the Photo Info button in the gallery).

This is a known characteristic of Smugmug. There is a uservoice feature request to include at least the basic EXIF information on the web sizes. You may want to vote for it to encourage Smugmug to pay more attention to it. It is marked "planned".

Pick the OpenID login choice and then enter your smugmug homepage URL of the form username.smugmug.com. It will then use your Smugmug login to log you in.

No need for more votes. We've done the prep work, now there's some cloud stuff to get done to make it all live.

Thank you so much for fixing this, Smugmug. Now when I restrict originals I know that my copyright information is still embedded in the sizes I do allow!

Which can be easily stripped from the file.
