Ice abstracts

This is another example of one thing leads to another except this started with a leaking shed roof that I have not had the weather to repair yet so have placed a large garden tray on a shelf to catch the drips meaning I have to empty it every now and then. Went to do this yesterday morning and found some rather nice ice formations on the surface and underneath the water.
All taken with an MPE-65 and focus stacked with zerene stacker from around 3 shots each.

Cybersteak - Sort of handheld -I quickly set the shots up on a garden table and was either resting the lens on my hand on the table or resting my elbows on the table.

Wow. Very good results for sure. After posting the question I thought it had to have been on a tripod. Ha...shows what I know. Definately agree that #2 is the stand out. Really like #4 as well.

Great shots of nature in its glory. The background choices fit really well but that last one looks like a evil little face in the upper right, scary.

Beutiful series of natural images.

I must say the colours you achieve in your images are sublime. Vibrant however still maintaining an almost pastel feel to them.

Ian - colour is one thing I don't tend to play with in my shots apart from dropping the colour temperature of flash shots a bit (to 5600'c) and sometimes desaturating them a bit to stop any colour blowing.
