which sync chord brand do you recommend?

I decided to go with a sync cord, and I would like it to be longer then 3 ft around . besides cannon's which would you recommended for a 50D with a 580EX II

I guess 3ft would be fine. I no nothing about sync cords:scratch

Paramount and Flash Zebra offer several choices. Paramount cords are a bit more robust usually, and a bit more costly. I have several of both, and they work fine.

I only use PARAMOUNT cables.....most of the time they are built better than the original camera cable.

That is not entirely ture......I should have said in the past I used only Paramount................................................
because now I ojnly use wireless RF triggers or iTTL cables from Yong Nuo and Nikon...............................
