I really like the color the moon gave me.
Out of camera like this tonight.
Taking forever to get my hands warm again.

This is a very intersting set. In some of the shots, the craters look like bubbles. It's an effect of the lighting, I'm sure, but really unusual.

I found myself searching the surface for stuff left behind from past missions, like flags and the portion left behind by the landing vehicle. How cool would that be if you could capture that??? I've been toying with the idea of getting a telescope with a Nikon mount and trying just that.

Hate to break it to you but there is no telescope on the
planet that will image those items you speak of that were left by man.
See link.
Not even the great and powerful Hubble (HST) can do it.
Bummer right. :cry
Its ok to copy paste your own stuff in though.
Appreciate your saying Mary Kim. They did turn out pretty clean as things
go. Now to take the images and play with them. See what happens there.
Thats where the rubber hits the road. Yes.
Thank you Gary.
Nope. Not so lucky as to get the real blue moon shot. Least not yet. .
Canon A610 using eyepiece projection method. A good friend loaned me
his hand crafted (machined) telescope attachment device with a 10mm eyepiece in it.
A 20mm eyepiece and so on for less close images.
Telescope in this case a Celestron C102 HD. A recent purchase for $75.00.
Couldn't believe I was lucky enough to get it at that price! 9+ condition.
These are test drive images to see if I could pull it off for focus. Got
pretty close. Thank the stars for live preview the A610 has.
Hope to post some results of working with the images I did manage.
Of course you know I have to radicalize most things that come
across my desk.
Tom. I couldn't agree more about the "bubble" effect. Its there for sure. An curious illusion that I
thought I would try to take advantage of in PP. So far its useless in my effort but the illusion has
remained throughout in any PP I have done. So I guess thats a plus. I'll post one of my takes soon.
Thx for stepping out Tom.
Those are way awesome shots.
So this means you have a telescope then?
Heck, thats half the battle right there. Attachment part is easy. Mostly.
Appreciate your your kind words about the shots. Thank you much.
