Got fascinated with the reflections in the ocean yesterday and cropped this one to make it a little more surreal.



I kind of dig it. What do you guys think?

I love this. The bright blue sky against the dark is just awesome. The reflection is perfect.

I think you're on to something here. It's a good shot as is, but the clear presence of the shoreline works against surrealism. A much more radical crop would make it more surreal:



I don't know whether you have enough pixels in the original to end up with anything useful after cropping so much. Next time you see something like this, though, think about framing the shot so as not to tip your hand.
