SmugMug Dropping Keyword Search ?

Is it true that SmugMug is dropping the Keyword Search. I was told that that before dropping it, D-grin has already stopped answering any questions about it on their forum. Sad, it seemed pretty helpful to me: at least it was somewhat better than the hopeless Smug Search which couldn't let you click through its' results without constantly whisking you off to the gallery each result was from. Still, Keyword Search seemed to be impossible to customize in anyway and suffered from a lack of anyone wanting to help with it on the forums. Well, Search issues have never been SmugMug's strong point.
Any thoughts on the demise of Keyword Search ?

Really? If you ever have a question unanswered, it can be for lots of reasons: 1) folks didn't understand it; 2) it's in the wrong place; 3) SmugMug didn't see it

Dgrin is a community forum. Our official, never-miss support is at our help desk, where we answer questions 365 days a year.

Questions about Search
The "search" function that I think is called "smugSearch," or what ever is the search function that's NOT "Keyword" Search: can not be clicked through from one result to the next . In "keyword " search, you get a bunch of results that you can click through from one result to the next; in the other search, a click on any result takes you to the original gallery of that result: then you must find the result/photo on that page : then get back to the search results page again to continue . Is there any way to change the Non keyword search function (smugsearch?) to behave the way the key word search function works?
Why? 1st: Keyword search does not bring up categories and sub-categories in its' results; 2nd: Keyword Search doesn't search one gallery at a time ( the gallery you happen to be in) the way the other search (smugsearch?) does.
I wish there was a way to make what I think is called SmugSearch to function like Keyword Search as far as not always being taken to the photo's original gallery. Just click through from one result to the next.
Or : is it possible to have Keyword Search search one gallery at a time. The gallery from where you start the search. And: only search my whole site when used on my homepage?
