HA HA HA. Looks like in the last one, the guy in front has a coat hanger effect from the ski behind him.

How cool is number 3! Dont those things go past at warp speed?

    cheers, Scott

Does not matter where they are from, they are moving....it is all relative...it is such a cool sesation to be next to the track, you can feel them coming way before you can see them..then when they go past, it is like being an inch away from a subway car....

They should worry more about all the point and shoots popping flash every three seconds.

The bobsleigh venue has to be the worst though. As soon as it gets a bit dark out, they start popping...has to be a bit distracting while running the course. I honestly dont think that 99 percent of the people there even know how to turn the flash off on their camera.

    I hear ya.

I don't understand their rationale.... A 'decent' P&S with a 'decent' seat, WILL bring home decent imagery. Oh Well.

GLAD you're being able to "move around" with your rig and I look forward to seeing more of your coverage. thumb.gif

    Keep it up!

FWIW, I *think* a couple of these BEG for a B&W conversion (hockey & bobsled)

    Ahhhmmm, ya,,,,,, no thanks.

Actually, this is the 1st time where I 'lifted' and tweaked - I just like a lot about this shot.

    WTS, I've no prob with sharing what I did (it wasn't rocket science);

    - B&W grad map
    - Re-set black point
    - Did same for white
    - Contrast adjustment
    - Burned in the rings (should've back that one off, a bit...)
    - A 'tad' of a high contrast, sharpening adjustment (IIRC, 7% with a radius of 64???), using the action "Adjust Sharpness" with "lens blur" and "More Refined" ticked.

Of course, better to do what ya can in RAW, whereas I worked the low-res jpg, in PS Elements.

I'll now delete the image in my earlier post; feel free to keep the one in your 'quote', if ya want, for reference. thumb.gif
