Practiced some portrait stuff with a friend
One of my buddies needed a photo taken of himself for an article about him and the beer he likes for a website. He is also a pretty good photographer himself. He is very into his Holgas and makes some very interesting images with them. They are like what lensbaby has tried to recreate for modern cameras.
I had this idea for trying some off camera flash stuff and I think it worked out the way I imagined it would. I definitely learned a few things while we did this shoot. But in the end we had some fun and downed a few beers. I used one flash on the ground behind him to light the shed and give a burst/ halo effect and one on a stand to the left side with a lumiquest big bounce defuser, and one on camera turned way down.
I was thinking I could combine these into a triptych. Or not...it is really up to my friend.
