Thanks Mary for the kind words.

The front door is barred. I didn't hang around long enough to try to get window shots on this one.

    Great find.

Love how all those sought after goods are all available----2 miles down the roadrolleyes1.gif .

I can imagine having a flat and walking to this place, hungry, cold, thirsty gas can in hand--and seeing that sign.

    Great processing as always.

    Hey Liz,

    Two things come to mind from your comments;
    • If you walked to this store, there was a 50% chance that you walked by the other (open) store first :D
    • 2 miles out in the Texas countryside is only a lazy mosey rolleyes1.gif
Come on back to Texas for a visit ~ get your spurs back girl thumb.gif

(BTW, you know I'm just funnin' with ya'...right?)

    Morning Randy,

Great slice of Old Americana, how many of those places have we seen like that, used to be a place that we'd look forward to, now it's hard to even find one.

Love the post processing, and the feel of "Times gone by"
    Take care,

    Craig

Great shot Randy. Looks very retro and nostalgic with the PP you chose. Like your choice of perspective and composition. The PP also helps the sky work here.

I know you're just messing with me Randy:)

I know all about those "it's right down the road" -- 10 miles later you still haven't found the place. I learned that one quick.

I came by that knowledge through personal experience earlier on in life. (not at this store though)

    Thanks for the input Michael

I hear ya' Craig. It's getting pretty hard to find such places, at least around our part of the woods.

    Thanks for the comments.

:D My personal experience still extends to this day. One place appears
as open or as closed as the other in many many of our small town out in
the sticks country stores. Hell, half the time they are just all closed.
You better have brought something to eat or drink yourself or you are
    just SOL. Period.

I heard everything in NYC is just 20 minutes away.
    That can't be right. mwink.gif
