I'm getting a bit bored with plain MX shots, so I'm going to start doing some crazy post processing on some to look different and maybe set myself apart a bit more from the other MX photogs. So, what are your thoughts on this pic?

Before

After

If this picture was of you, would you prefer to purchase the original or the new one?

Thanks in advance

I would say lighten up on the vignetting a bit and that would be my choice! Remember, ya cant please everyone all the time! I would offer both - but push the PP'd one!!

I'd like the crop a little tighter, but I like the second one.

Second one for me too although I would understand someone wanting the first as a 'true' representation of the moment. clap.gif

Would you consider removing the contrail out of the background? I find it really distracting on the second shot as it runs behind his head and the PP makes it stand out more...
More practice needed but learning all the time!:rofl

Wow, I hadn't even noticed it before. Yea, it would be better without it for sure. Good eye and thanks everyone for your input thus far.

:D Isn't it strange how sometimes you can look at a picture so much you stop actually seeing it?!?! BTW - would be interested to know what you did to pic #2 if you'd care to share...? I don't know a huge amount about PP so you may need to keep it simple!!!

It is a conglomeration of several premade actions. I honestly couldn't tell you everything that was done to it.

Refreshing...I love your MX shots! I'm loving the desaturated look but as someone said try pushing both images.

    cheers, Scott

Is the tilted horizon intentional (has no impact on #2)?

I like the 2nd with even more vig tighter and the sepia like color gives a retro look to the image, I'd even like it with water stains... :D

    Creative yes...
