A hole in the underbrush
These guys are one tough bird for me to get a clean shot of. Today there was a hole in the brush and I got one:D
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. Douglas Adams

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Thanks... I hear you on the background but I differ in opinion as that's where they Hang generally, in a complex maze of twigs and brush.

I have made that complaint numerous times about the birds not cooperating with us and not hanging out in clear areas. That's why when I shoot them with clutter behing them I try to blur it out as much as possible either by aperture setting or in my processing.
That's one of the challenges in wildlife photography. The three basics are a good subject, good light and a good setting. Two out of three give you an OK capture, 3 out of 3 give you a wall hanger.

I have many captures with less than ideal backgrounds. :cry That's why its always a thrill when you get an optimal opportunity. When I go out I scout out the locations that provide me the best shooting possibilities. The real trick is to get the subjects to go into those locations.

What a difference! Very nice.D
That fix you did is fantastic, I live in Alberta and these are tough birds to get in the open.It took me 2 days to get mine with the tail in the shot as they hide in those leaves really well.GOOD JOB.
