Why have my gallery settings stopped working?

I've posted about this before and my problems were band-aided. Not good enough anymore.

I have two accounts with smugmug: lalandscapes.com and itsjackson.com (former is a Pro account, latter is Power User).

I first noticed this with itsjackson.com because I was constantly creating new galleries.

And now it's happening with lalandscapes.com.

Here's what's going on:

I created a new gallery in lalandscapes.com (velocipedia/bikeporn:<br>gunnar:<br>)
When I created the gallery, I specified a Quick Settings template: std_gallery
I switched to Lightroom and uploaded my pics using the plug-in from Jeffrey Friedl

When the pics were done, none of my settings from std_gallery carried over. Instead of my watermark, I got the dreaded PROOF splattered across my images and the images were sorted incorrectly.

I was able to fix the watermark setting, but after three failed attempts at fixing the sort order via the Gallery Settings I had to go into Arrange mode within the gallery and sort them there.

And, of course, in following these steps right now to recreate the problem, I get stuck at a BLANK "Add Photos" page. Super.

Note: This is so consistently screwed up on itsjackson.com that I stopped creating galleries using the Lightroom plug-in. Hence the extra steps to create the gallery first on the web page, then export to the new gallery via Lightroom.

Why is this happening and what do I have to do to get this functioning correctly and consistently, the way that it had been for years prior? It's incredibly frustrating and a waste of my time. It also makes me lose confidence that other things within smugmug are working properly (namely privacy settings).
