Tern Splash
Last in my series for today
Watched this tern for awhile and tried to time my shots, How'd I do :dunno
He dives
He exits
He gives it a little shake
He exits stage right empty handed, no fishy for him
the thing I found interesting, you can get a sense of the speed here by seeing that the original splash caused by his dive has not yet settled and he is just about out of here , pretty darn quick if ya ask me :wow

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Very nice series

Hey, Ben, great timing.
Can I ask, of course I can ask, would you say if those were multiple dives?
And if you were shooting in bursts when you timed the terns entry.
You'll get one Nick and never look back

Hi Ginger
Of course I would, but this is one bird one dive
Continuous low burst mode at 5 fps
I always shot in burst mode by the way, I usually find that even in a short burst the second or third shot is the keeper!!
