I visited this park a couple weeks ago. Rain storms were approaching.

In fact, there were a few raindrops on my lens (one drop on the top right of the tree below).

These are very good. Are these HDR? The second shot has great DR.

You witnessed the rarity of rain in the desert. I really love the second photo. I could almost go without seeing the ground. The sun directly behind the branches is beautiful.

    Nice shots.
There appear to be slight halos on the second one giving away the HDR or tonal contrast.
That is a very nice shot other wise.

The exposures look great. I really like these.
You may be able to increase the white point just a smidge without blowing the clouds....maybe....I imagine you already pushed them to the limit.

    Nice work.

    Nikhil,

You have a good eye for HDR. The second shot is HDR.

Thank you. I wished we got there a bit earlier as it rained hard soon after. It snowed that night and there was a coat of snow on the ground the next day. However, the clouds were one monotonous gray mass and not as interesting as the first day.

Hi zommer, thank you. You are right about the halo around the tree. I am not very good at HDR and will have to give it another try.
