    Hi there,
Really like #1--very much so--I was raised Catholic and in Bolivia, so this shot of the votive candles in the glass containers really hits home--took me back in an instant. Just lovely.

I also like the way you processed #2.

Thank you ... I also was very pleased how the candles came out.

This is a side prayer chamber ... the Mission was built more than 200 years ago by Franciscans. While the Mission is best known for the Swallows, it is the oldest occupied structure in California and the site for the first Zorro novel.

    Gary,

The candles shot is nice, but #2 is a very definite winner for me thumb.gif

Great comp, strong lines and textures galore!

I agree with Randy. #2 is strong all the way around.clap.gifclap.gif

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

All are very nice. #2 is my pick of the original post, however the prayer chamber really tells the story. Nice job.

I love the old missions. I've made it to most of them (except San Rafael and San Diego).

I'm lucky in that regard. Santa Clara, Soledad, Santa Cruz (I think that's what it's called), Dolores, Fremont and others are relatively near by :D

Thanks Wendell and Ian ... the missions are very special, they hold so much currency in history and culture and best of all ... a wealth of images ...
