My Custom Domain name is pointing to smugmug and works great. I now want to add a blog and tried it first by creating a subdomain name thinking that would work but it does not. It also ends up on my main smugmug page. I dont know if I can have both-Fully compatible smugability and the blog. I hate to get a blog from somewhere else when my domain comes with wordpress. Any help would be appreciated.

    Who is your domain host?
    Who is your blog host?

It works most places, and well. http://blog.moonriverphotography.com

Siteground hosts my domain name and Doc pointed my CName to smugmug as I wished a few months ago. Siteground offers wordpress which I can add from the control panel and I like wordpress. I was hoping to have my blogs address be a subdomain such as blog.hammondphotography.net But if I set that up right now when I click that link I still end up at my main smugmug site. Not sure if what I want is possible or not?

Working on it there now Andy. I see what you mean that yours works fine. Must be something I am doing but I will keep working on it

Just an update. I tried it every possible way I could see to add it and it always took me straight back to my main smugmug page. I dont know if it is because the way its setup to go directly to smugmug or not, but any advice would be great. Just seems a shame to have a namebrand website then have to go outside of it to get a blog. I know the answer is there but I just dont see it, and cant seem to find anything in a search. ne_nau.gif

Here is the link that isnt working:

    Issue is resolved
It is corrected. It seems whatever ip the domain name points to..(smugmug) then any subdomain you create automatically points to the same ip address. Set those back to default for JUST the subdomain and it changed immediately to the default webhosters generic page. 24 hour propigate time and I am up and running. clap.gif
