I have a Stroboframe PHD camera bracket that is used on tripod for rotating your camera from landscape to portrait orientation. This bracket keeps the the lens on the same axis so you don't need to recompose your shots. It is specially suitable on tripod heads so that when you rotate your camera, the weight of the camera does not move to the side.
