Might as well join the flash pool... (Canon 300D, buy ?)

I've got a 420EX lined up to purchase... 210$CDN. Not a bad price at all.

Am I going to be replacing it soon? Will this flash dissappoint me in any way i'm not expecting? I want something straightforward that I can throw on my camera and not think about.

The 580EX is out of my price range, and effectively, the Sigma Super 500 is as well, unless I could find a used one...

Thoughts? I also have a line on 3 studio strobes for 110$, I'll be shooting more stuff in my studio I hope... maybe the smarter investment is the studio strobes?

420's a nice flash. You'll keep it even if you upgrade. Can work as a remote
    to the 580.

I like the 420, use it with my 350d. If you're going to use it with the 300d, I'd recommend upgrading the firmware on the camera with the hack to get FEC.
