Fotomat and Old Gas

Was out taking my picture-a-day photo and grabbed these shots...

Remember Fotomat? I didn't think any of these were still standing!

I also found this cool old gas station. So many old buildings on Long Island are just left to rot and go unused. It's nice to see a community that decided to restore one... what an wonderful little building! From what I hear, they use prisoners from the local prison to maintain it.

Thanks for looking!

Cool shots, in particular the three of the gas station. I think I've mentioned this before, but I really like how you process your photos.

    Thanks Federico and Roadkill...

Federico, I really like to play with colors in my post processing and I like to go for a bit of a vintage flavor, especially lately. Thanks for noticing!

    Howdy Amy,

I really like those last three and especially the last one, nice toning and

    processing. Really nice compositions also.
    Take care,

Nice set of images Amy. I had completely forgotten the Fotomat places. The gas station shots are extra nice with the last being my pick. I like the perspective and comp. you chose, the treeline almost makes the power lines disappear.

Great shots. I'm a Nassau County boy and we seem to have erased all traces of what I remember as a kid this side of the Suffolk line.

That M8 is soooooo nice. Muy muy jealous.
