From January, attended and helped with the students at this one. Really enjoyable to be able to give some pointers along with capturing some of my own shots.

    Thanks all!

I've always included the lighting setups for a couple reasons. Saves me time of explaining it later when people ask. Plus, these forums are all about collaborative learning - so why not explain how we did it?

And it's helpful to those offering critiques to know how it was lit, so they can offer an idea for a change in lighting that could improve the shot.

Great stuff! Can I ask what lens you used here? Thanks for posting the photos and the info!

Well done throughout. What I enjoy here are the great looks and variety of bg's/lighting. Creativity throughout and not "vanilla" thumb.gif Thanks for sharing.

Awesome shots, iClick! I'm particularly fond of beauty dishes, but I see that the use of light strips on the sides is also a great way to light the subject. What kind of lighting setup do you prefer yourself?

    Completely different shoot...different subject.

I did take some outtakes that you can see here, but not really any great ones of lighting setups. I get a lot of pullbacks when I'm conducting my sessions, but I was trying to help the rotations, give pointers to the models and get my own shots that all I had time for were a few shots of photogs/models at work.

Not a simple question. It all depends on the subject and the finished product I want. Beauty dish and rims will not work for everything. Many times all I really need is one light and a reflector. And sometimes (if I'm lucky) that one light is the sun. :)
