Had a blast shooting this weekend shooting Justin Homan of Metal Mulisha at his track. Got some cool shots where I had the camera mounted on his bike...little sketchy in theory but was well worth the risk.

Behind the scenes footage of the entire day, as well as photos and a description of how I mounted the camera on the bike can be found on my blog here-

Great job on the set up, and the shots. When I first saw it I thought you were on a platform, you've got me thinking about what it would look like from a platform at eye level to the rider.clap.gif

haha yeah shooting from their level but not mounted on the bike would actually be a pretty cool angle. A really tall ladder would work eh? haha

Love em! Seems like photogs down your way really want to test the durability of the 5d! I saw the pics that Tedesco did.

Sweet shots, I might have to try that trick with my old D70, just in case it doesn't work out as well as yours did!
By the way, if your out there again say hi to the Japanese rider Taka (Nori) for me. I know him from over here in Japan. Just tell him Jason says hi, haha.

I dig that first one. But something bugs me about it. I think it's cause there's no hint to the height--I mean I know it's off the ground but it just doesn't look like it. The intensity in the rider's eyes is great--good choice to go with the clear goggles.

After looking at the link, I have a new appreciation for how you got the shot. That was some good info--thanks for posting that.

I wonder if you shot from the landing, that would make any difference in the second and third shot?

Pretty cool shoot. I wish I could be there.
