    Horse photos
Hi there. One thing I notice in your photos is the distortion of perspective on the heads. Horse's heads are tough to do because their heads are so large. In 1, 3 and 4 you're looking up at them which causes their heads to appear even longer and larger.

#2 "necking" appears to be a more true perspective and is a 'mirror image' if you will.

Great colours! We're still grey and white up here (in eastern Canada).

Thanks for the feedback Snowgirl, yes spring is breaking here. I get tease my family in NS about it a lot.

The perspective is intentional, wide angle and low. Not doing a horse study but trying for a different look and feeling for the togetherness feel. Besides if I use a more natural angle I would have to stand in the middle of the highway.

I have several at regular height, but this angle does not work as well for capturing the personality and mood of the animal. But then it is different for me then just the outside observer.

I really like #3. I'd like it better if it were just the two horses on the right facing the one horse on the left. The two in the background (well, one and the legs of another) distract me a little bit.

I love this set of photos.

I think #1 still... the colors of the grass and sky also add to this image...the water separating them, the strong colors... .my second fave would be the two heads.
    But still, number 1!

I like #1 in color. It looks to me like a huddle - the horse on the left is explaining the next play to the ones on the right. :D

Actaually, I still like your current entry in the gallery. IMHO, the sepia tone gives it a unique tone (no pun intended rolleyes1.gif ) and mood. The only thing I might suggest is to clone out the 2 dust spots in the top right.

Thanks Brian I will go back and take care of that. I had to get my sensor wet cleaned at my local Nikon dealer(free) I had some dust that would not come off. I think it was my Tahoe trip and the moisture collected even though I was trying to be so careful to keep temp changes to a minimum.

I like the sepia tone you gave you image. However I really like #3 the most. I think it is framed perfectly (3/4 + 1/4 separation). But that's my preference. I say, really nice image! iloveyou.gif
