Need suggestions for lens bags...

I recently purchased two new Canon lenses that didn't come with lens bags (all my other Canons come with them). I need to find a couple of protectors that will fit them appropriately for transport in my Lowepro backpacks.

1. Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM (Prime)
2. Canon MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro

If you own either of these lenses and have found decent bags, I'd greatly appreciate knowing what you use and where you purchased. :scratch

i have purchased used lenses that need carry bags and found used bags at the local camera stores......that is locally owned stores that also sell used equipment......many of these store owners will also go to estate sells or auctions to get inexpensive used equipment to resell in their stores........but then I never use a lens pouch or case in conjunction with my lowePro bags as the sextra pouch/bag takes up way too much room and makes getting to my lenses to much of a hassle.............

Yeah, I don't use a bag inside a bag either. The lowpro bags are nice enough to protect the lenses.

The main reason I use the pouches INSIDE my backpacks is for a really different reason than just protection...

I work overseas every other six weeks (six on and six off... great schedule!) and I'm always having to carry two backpacks onboard my flights. (Won't baggage check ANY expensive gear).

What I have found is kind of silly, but when my lenses are open to sight in my backpacks, it seems like TSA and foreign security personnel always want to pull them out of the bag and paw them. However, when they're in their pouches, the security people just seem to glance at them and never touch the lenses. Maybe silly, but it works!

I did order a Zing pouch for my 100 L Macro, but haven't found a reasonable solution for the MP-E 65mm 1-5x lens. Oh well. Thanks for the comments.

Don't know what size the MP-E 65mm 1-5x lens is but I use a no-name bag that doesn't have enough dividers to keep all lenes from touching each other. At one meeting of my local camera club one of the guys brought some small draw string bags that some socks came in! Not being a guy I have not the slightest idea what to look for to get socks in a bag. I was one of the ones that took a couple and have been satisfied that they keep lenes such as a Canon 28-70 3.5-4.5 from getting scratched from rubbing on other things in my bag. I would think that there would be a number of other sources for draw string bags that would work for these kinds of uses.

I am thinking crown royal bags. Depending on the crown royal they come in a nice purple (?) felt like bag with a drawstring.
May not be the best for passing through airport security on a checked bag though :)
