So, I think the dogs do not work because the one is so dark. Here are a couple of other ideas.

These are nice shots, however, I think your dog shots would be a much better entry for this challenge...IMHO.

Even though the interior is a little dark it pulls you in to make out the other passenger.

Have to say I'm not really getting the theme from these. To that end your dog shot is a better entry.

Thanks, bf2015, DsrtVw, Tatiana, and AndMan! I'll give another shot at the PP on the dog shot and see if I can get it a little better.

Work is occupying too much of my time, so I expect it will be a bit before I have a chance to work on it.
