I haven't shared anything in a while because I've had an utter lack of time to process anything new. This one is from about 2 months ago with a very low tide. I've been to this beach 10-12 times in the last year or so and never knew these rocks were here.

Also, was my first time shooting the the GND filter I got as Christmas present!

C&C always welcome! :thumb

    Chris-

I like it a lot! Great colors and I like the vertical comp. What filter did you get? I'm about to plop for one myself.

    Nice image!

    Thank you, Lauren!

I think this is the one I got. I haven't used it too much, but this shot ended up only taking a couple minutes to process as opposed to other where I had to mask in the sky from a darker exposure. Definetely much easier! thumb.gif

Beautiful foreground detail in the sand, Chris. Great colors in the sky and nice composition.

Very nice Chris. clap.gif I really like the composition, and I am curious to see what it might look like with less saturation (a pastel flavor).headscratch.gif

Thank you, Tom! I really liked those "tendrils" cut through the sand by the waves. This image has inspired me to check the tides more often and keep an eye out for low tide near sunset.

    Thank you, Dan!
I boosted the saturation just a touch, but this is pretty close to what I remember seeing when I was there. No reason to try a little less though! I'll give it a shot tomorrow and post it if it looks decent! thumb.gif

Very nice soft colors across the frame! I like the blue juxtaposed with the red/orange of the sky. And the foreground really leads your eye up through the picture. thumb.gif

Chris, thanks for the link to the filter. It's one I am thinking about so I am glad to see it "live." :D

Keep posting--I always enjoy your work.

Thank you Tharhawk. I wish I had a wider lens and could have gotten more of the lines in the frame, but we work with what the budget allows! :D

You're welcome, Lauren. This was the first time I had taken the filter out for a test drive, so I think it'll work just fine once I really learn to use it! And thanks for the kind words. I've got photoshop loading as I type, so hopefully it won't be too long before I have a few more processed. thumb.gif
