Apple has announced they will start taking preorders for the iPad on March 12th. Delivery or Store pickup of the Wi-Fi version is scheduled for April 3rd for preorders.:clap
3G versions can be preordered as well, but delivery not until late April. (Also outside the USA for both models in late April)
This tablet is going to have major implications for photographers in many ways! There won't be CS4 on it anytime soon, but likely smaller iPhoto-type adjustment apps, or maybe something like Aperture Lite. But for the business and gallery side, this tablet will be AWESOME! (Imagine tethered shooting without having to lug around a heavy laptop... and/or tethered HD video shooting!)
