Earlier, I noted that the name of this forum is a bit of a misnomer, especially as there is virtually no photo journalism posted here. That of course begs the question, "what is photo journalism?"

    Amazing work. I can't begin to imagine the stress, exhaustion and fear.

    Very nice to see the images at the link provided demonstrating photo
    journalism as gathered on a battlefield. Also informative to see the nature
    of the descriptions for each image. I like that they tend to be brief.

    Thanks for the link. It is very informative and impressive.

    It also helps explain somewhat why there is little actual PJ here: It is a heavy commitment and requires a certain mindset. I realized that I am not such a risk-taker nor energetic enough for this type of photography. I had thought about going to one of the demonstrations this past week against the budget cuts at numerous venues here in the Bay Area and decided against based on the hassle, the time, the uncertainty and the potential for trouble (weighed against being able to post a few "WTF" shots here in this forum...).

    So, kudos to those who do this work. Thanks.
