(It's strange, the image seems to show some banding, but when I check the full-size version on my site, there's no banding at all. Maybe the result of compression?)

It's a classic shot. I think it would be better with a brighter white point.

The lack of detail in the snow is due to my choice of DOF (f/1.8).
