Dgrin Sharp Shooters Challenge #46

Welcome to Round #46 of the Dgrin Sharp Shooters Challenges. This challenge is open to any Dgrin member. It will run from Monday, March 8, 08:00am, EST time (GMT -5) to Monday, March 22, 08:00am, EDT time (GMT -4).

The topic ready for your interpretation: Green

Be it the changing of the season, luck o' the Irish, or a little bit of envy, show us some green!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your entry is to be submitted directly into a Smugmug gallery. It's pretty simple, just go to the gallery link below, and follow the upload instructions at the top of the page: Remember, the basics stay the same: 1 entry per person, and the photo must be fresh, taken during this contest period. Do not use a minimal save method (such as "save for web"), and your exif will be embedded in your image, no worries!

To avoid disqualification, read, in full, the Dgrin Sharp Shooters Challenge Rules, there have been some slight modifications.

    Just a reminder since we have a lot of new players: this round is open only to those who are not in the Mega-Challenge. MC players, you have enough to worry about. mwink.gif

    I agree.. it has been a long winter and I have been waiting for the color green to show outside. So this theme fits perfect for Spring Time :ivar

    I have been seeing green everywhere! And there is so much more than the color green! There's green with envy, environmentally green, inexperienced, unripe, economic green shoots, the almighty greenback (A term first used for the United States Demand Notes issued from August 1861 to April 1862. The largest amount of greenbacks outstanding at any one time was calculated as $447,300,203.10. Fun facts from wikipedia :D ), greenhouse, green around the gills, have you eaten your greens, putting greens, give him the green light! What did I miss?

    one question, please....I know post is allowed and and encouraged....but it says composites need to all be from this time period...
    for the sake of PP, is an image I've taken and use as a texture considered a composite?? I have a lot of textures I've collected, and an idea for an image, but if I can't use the texture....

    Yes, a texture is considered an image for a composite. Shoot a fresh texture during this round, and you'll be all set. thumb.gif

    B Rock - Envy - Shot outside the challenge time frame.
    smallworld - Finding the Sun - not a Dgrin user that I can find
    Spring has sprung! - no user name given, taken outside challenge time
    Reflection - no user name given, taken outside challenge time

    Binary FX - To be a rock and not to roll - uploaded to the gallery well after the closing time, Sorry
    sser - going green / The new learning curve hit me - I totally spaced on checking for frames another image has been disqualified due to the use of a frame in the image.
    :cry (thanks to our gracious judges for catching my error, sorry everyone.)

    Finally one last idiosyncrasy, learnin entered both the mega #7 and #46 - I have moved learnin - Green?...NOT! to the DQ gallery as well, since only the mega entry is valid. :bash

    Sorry B Rock - The only way I have of telling is the EXIF data please enter again in the current round #47. Check your clock on your camera too. deal.gif
