    Hi Charlie --

    I've heard they could spit and thought it looked like it was getting ready to do so, but I didn't know they could spit that far....hope you walked away with your camera covered up :D

    I'm a traveler and photographer, but I also write fiction. :D I may have exaggerated how far a camel could spit. But yes, they DO spit a fair distance. This guy seemed pleased that I was taking his photograph, so he didn't spit on me.
