I have been playing around with this technique too. Of your two shots, I prefer #2 most.

Have you done any more scenes? lets seem 'em!

    Thanks for having a look.
I guess there is little interest in these types of shots, or these are just very bad ones.

I too am surprised more have not responded.

IMO your first shot might be better if you included more blur or maybe even crop in tighter to remove more of the sky.

I still think that your number 2 shot is great.

Are you using the Gradient brush to do these? What is your technique?

    Howdy.
    :D
Actually there are quite a few fans of this type of effort here on
dgrin. If you were to do a forum search you would likely find many
many threads with tilt shift work.

Don't worry about the apparent lack of responses. It has nothing to do
with your work. Or likely it doesn't. Lots of folks don't get replies to
their posts sometimes. Just the way it is over time.

Try posting in other places too. Like landscapes.
Could be more said to topic.

Both shots illustrate tilt shift nicely but the vibrant of image 2 steals
the stage for me. Don't know much about how the effect is accomplished
in PP. But it would be interesting to know. Use gradient tool and
blur? headscratch.gif I have yet to ever do it but I must give it a try.

Nice effect! I´d like to try the same sometime.

Your pictures look good, the only thing is that I feel that the transition from focus to unfocus is a little sharp, and that there isn´t enough gradient to the out of focus areas. I mean that there should be even more blur to the very top and bottom areas.

But still, the effect is very cool!
